Terms of Use
Effective and last updated: August 6, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the VRadical Studio desktop application, documentation, and related services. They do not remove any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
1. Acceptance
By installing, accessing, or using VRadical Studio ("Studio"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use Studio or its optional online integrations.
If you use Studio on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization. Any separate written license, order, or distribution agreement takes precedence where it expressly conflicts with these Terms.
2. License and permitted use
Subject to these Terms and any applicable distribution agreement, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to install and use the delivered version of Studio for lawful media-production purposes.
You may not:
- use Studio to violate law, third-party rights, privacy, publicity, intellectual-property rights, or platform rules;
- circumvent authorization, licensing, camera-support, security, update-integrity, or technical restrictions;
- distribute credentials, private builds, activation material, or access intended for another user;
- interfere with Studio, its services, or third-party APIs, including through abusive automation or attempts to evade quotas; or
- misrepresent Studio as your own product or remove proprietary notices, except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the videos, photos, audio, timelines, metadata, and other content you process with Studio. You are responsible for obtaining all rights, permissions, releases, and licenses needed to process, export, stream, or publish that content.
You authorize Studio to process your content locally and to transmit selected content and metadata to a destination only when needed to perform an action you request. Studio does not acquire ownership of your content.
You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publication or professional use, maintaining backups of source media and projects, and preserving untouched camera originals when calibration, stabilization, or support may require them.
4. Accounts and credentials
Some optional features require an account with a third-party provider. You are responsible for the security of your operating-system account, connected accounts, credentials, authorization codes, and tokens, and for activity performed through them.
Do not share device codes, OAuth authorization codes, access tokens, passwords, or diagnostic information that contains sensitive identifiers. Notify the relevant provider and revoke access promptly if you suspect compromise.
5. Google and YouTube
If you connect Google or publish to YouTube, your use is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service, the Google Privacy Policy, and applicable Google API policies. You must use the integration only for channels and content you are authorized to manage.
Studio uses the permissions shown on Google's consent screen to identify an authorized YouTube channel and upload and configure videos at your direction. You can revoke Studio's access through your Google Account connections. Revoking access prevents future authorized API calls but does not remove content already uploaded to YouTube.
YouTube may apply quotas, audits, content policies, geographic limitations, visibility restrictions, account enforcement, or service changes. We do not control those decisions and cannot guarantee that a publication will be accepted, processed, monetized, displayed, or remain available.
6. Other third-party services
Studio may offer optional connections to services such as DeoVR, JillVR, GitHub, Topaz, or a server configured by the user. Those services are independent and governed by their own terms and privacy policies. You authorize Studio to send the selected files, credentials, and metadata necessary to complete the requested action.
Third-party services may change, suspend, reject, throttle, or discontinue access without our control. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, availability, security, or decisions.
7. Updates and changes
Studio may provide updates that fix defects, improve security, add or remove features, change supported cameras or formats, or maintain compatibility with operating systems and external services. Some features may require an updated version.
Where automatic update checks are available, they remain subject to the choices presented in Studio. You must not bypass signature, manifest, or installer verification.
8. Intellectual property
Studio, its software, interface, documentation, branding, and project-owned assets are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use Studio under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses and notices.
Feedback may be used to improve Studio without restriction or compensation, provided it does not require us to disclose your confidential information.
9. Availability and technical results
Immersive-media processing depends on source integrity, camera metadata, calibration, codecs, GPU and operating-system support, storage, external services, and user-selected settings. Studio may reject a file or stop an operation when producing a result would be unsafe or misleading.
No automated calibration, stabilization, correction, encoding, upload, or metadata operation is guaranteed to be error-free or suitable for every source or purpose. Inspect important results in the intended player or headset before delivery.
10. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Studio and related services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of content, projects, profits, revenue, goodwill, opportunities, or data arising from Studio, an external service, or an inability to use them.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where limitation is prohibited by law, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death, personal injury, or mandatory consumer rights.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Studio at any time and may disconnect optional services. We may suspend or terminate access to a service or distributed build when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, material breach, or protection of users and third parties.
Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and responsibility for your content, remain effective.
13. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law and any controlling written distribution agreement. Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of mandatory protections or a forum available under the law of the consumer's habitual residence.
Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when Studio, its integrations, or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
